Spanish footballer Elena Julve’s popularity has soared after an eye-opening snap of her went viral from the new EAFC 24 game.
The introduction of female footballers to EAFC 24’s much loved Ultimate Team format has seen fans become more familiar with the women’s game in recent weeks. Players can now unpack Women’s World Cup heroes such as Sam Kerr, Alexia Putellas and Alex Greenwood for their respective teams.
With that new addition, one fan thought it would be amusing to pair up the tallest player in the game, 6ft9in defender Isaak Toure of Lorient, with the 4ft11 Julve, who is officially the shortest footballer in the game. And the result was striking.

They shared a screenshot of Toure utterly dwarfing the right-winger, 22, in-game on Reddit. Julve barely reached the Frenchman’s abdomen, leaving fans in tears of laughter as the photo went viral.
Elena has enjoyed the last laugh, however, with the pintsized Spaniard now having over 20,000 Instagram followers since becoming a viral hit. Yet her blossoming career can also be thanked for her increasing popularity.
She currently plays in Liga F – the highest level of women’s football in Spain – for Barcelona-based FC Levante Las Planas. The side finished 11th last season, having been promoted from the second tier thanks to the winger's ability.
Before that, Elena spent four years for better known Catalan side Espanyol. She also played a crucial role in winning the U19s European Championship with the national team.

Julve regularly keeps fans up to date with snaps of her in action for club and country on Instagram. One brief clip shows Elena being hassled by a far taller opponent, whom she shrugs off and dazzles with fancy footwork.
The petite brunette is also no stranger to flaunting her beauty with off-field pictures. She can be seen soaking up the sun in various holiday photos, whether that’s relaxing in a bikini on a boat or enjoying a stroll along the beach in Corfu.
