Zubin Bharucha Appointed Director of Performance at Mumbai Indians After Long IPL Stint

Zubin Bharucha has been named the new director of performance for Mumbai Indians ahead of the upcoming IPL season.

Background of the Appointment

The move brings Zubin Bharucha into the Mumbai Indians setup in a key role focused on performance.

His previous experience spans multiple positions across prominent IPL franchises.

Zubin Bharucha has worked in various capacities with Rajasthan Royals since the start of the IPL.

This association covers nearly the entire history of the league except for a specific period.

The connection with Rajasthan Royals began at the very first edition and continued through most seasons.

The only interruption in his Rajasthan Royals tenure lasted two years when he was with Delhi Daredevils.

During those two years Zubin Bharucha contributed in his professional capacity to the Delhi franchise.

Outside of that interval his work remained tied to Rajasthan Royals in different operational areas.

With the latest development Zubin Bharucha now shifts his focus to Mumbai Indians as director of performance.

This marks a fresh chapter after his extensive time across the two earlier teams in the league.

The appointment highlights his continued involvement at the highest levels of IPL team operations.

From the inception of the tournament Zubin Bharucha has maintained a steady presence in franchise cricket.

His roles have evolved over time while remaining within the IPL ecosystem for the majority of the league’s existence.

The two-year period at Delhi Daredevils stands as the sole deviation from his primary affiliation with Rajasthan Royals.

Now joining Mumbai Indians allows him to bring that accumulated experience into a new environment.

The addition of Zubin Bharucha provides Mumbai Indians with a director of performance who has deep knowledge of the league.

His background includes direct contributions to two other established franchises over many years.

This history positions him to support the team’s performance objectives based on prior IPL involvement.

Overall the move consolidates Zubin Bharucha’s long-standing career within the Indian Premier League structure.
