‘World’s sexiest jockey’ has bigger net worth than I’m A Celeb’s Frankie Dettori

Frankie Dettori has a whopping net worth – but it’s still a few furlongs short of the 'world's sexiest jockey's' worth.

The legendary jockey is currently starring in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! which will top up his already-sizeable fortune, estimated to be between £15million and £18million. Overall in his racing career, Dettori is believed to have earned around £153million.

The 52-year-old is set rake in even more in 2024 after reversing his decision to retire from riding. Confirming the U-turn in a message on X (formerly Twitter) in October, he said: “I have decided to prolong my career. I’m going to go to the United States next year. Keep on following me.”

In the two years that followed, she continued to launch her career by being voted as recipient of the Sovereign Award as her country's top apprentice jockey.

In July 2012, on board Game On Dude, Sutherland became the first woman jockey to win the Hollywood Gold Cup. Five years later, she became just the third Canadian female to notch 1,000 career wins.

But her most high-profile race arguably came when she went face-to-face with former fiance Mike E. Smith in a sensational event billed the 'battle of the exes', which she lost despite claiming: "I think I won the popularity contest."

Sutherland, who has made more than £40million in her career, boosted her fortune earlier this year by taking part in a star-studded race in Saudi Arabia that involved Dettori.

Away from the course, she featured in the likes of Vogue magazine and Sports Illustrated, as well as being included in People magazine's '100 most beautiful people'. Sutherland also once landed a role in HBO television series Luck.
