Frankie Dettori was in more trouble than being covered in cockroaches earlier this year when he kissed a surprised Queen Camilla.

The record-breaking iconic jockey has just seen his time in the Australian jungle come to an end, after he was the first contestant to be booted off this winter's 'I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here'.

The 52-year-old Italian followed Grace Dent and Jamie Lynn Spears back to civilisation after spending less than two weeks on the ITV show.

During his time in camp, Dettori opened up on his horse racing career and the money he's earned from riding. One famous victory came earlier this year in his Gold Cup triumph at Royal Ascot. Dettori rode 15-2 Courage Mon Ami to victory, leaving him understandably jubilant.

Dettori was clearly still on a massive high when he subsequently met King Charles and his wife Camilla, and he even celebrated by planting a kiss on her cheek.

Cameras caught the iconic moment, with pictures showing Camilla, 76, open-mouthed and clearly not expecting the world famous jockey's rather forward embrace.

When meeting a member of the Royal Family, however, a person must wait until they first initiate contact, and typically no touching is even allowed. The royals should traditionally be greeted with a slight bow of the neck, or for women a small curtsy.

Dettori's approach clearly went against those regulations, and could certainly have got him in hot water.

Prior to kissing Camilla, Dettori had bowed to King Charles and shook his hand. He got a little over-excited, though, with the Queen.

In October, Dettori abandoned plans to retire from racing and instead will continue his career in the United States in 2024.
