Pep Guardiola was spotted giving Erling Haaland heading advice despite the Manchester City star netting two goals in the Manchester derby.
The Norwegian took his tally for the season to 11 goals by scoring a brace at Old Trafford. Haaland converted a penalty in the first half and scored a back-post header four minutes after the break.
And the 23-year-old goal-machine could have had a hat-trick but for an astonishing save from Andre Onana on the stroke of half-time. The Manchester United goalkeeper scrambled across his line to palm away a header from Haaland, who was once more unmarked at the back stick.

It seemed unimportant in the grand scheme as City went on to record a 3-0 win over their rivals. Yet manager Guardiola took issue with his striker failing to convert a golden chance.
The City players and Guardiola remained on the pitch after the final whistle to celebrate with their travelling fans, before the Spaniard had an animated discussion with Haaland over the missed header. Guardiola could be seen imitating headers as he explained what the Norwegian could have done better.

Haaland appeared frustrated by his manager’s perfectionism, arguing intensely and turning his back on Guardiola. And Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane was similarly unimpressed, questioning why Guardiola chose to instruct Haaland out on the pitch and in front of the fans.
“It’s all for show. It’s all for show,” Keane said. “You can have that chat in the dressing room. What’s the big deal? It was a lovely header but you don’t need to be on the pitch talking about it for five minutes. Just get down the tunnel and enjoy your victory.”
It is far from the first instance where the City boss has chosen to be animated with players on the field. Mid-way through a game against Burnley in August, Guardiola was followed by TV cameras as he shouted at Haaland.
Guardiola then gave the TV equipment a push before telling the camera operator to “go away”. The Treble-winning boss was criticised and mocked for his odd showing by fans on social media.
