Conor McGregor has furiously let rip at Ireland's police after riots erupted following a mass stabbing in Dublin in which three children were injured.
Violence took hold of the Irish capital as hundreds took to the streets in protest after a man went on an unprovoked stabbing spree outside a school on Thursday. A woman and three children were stabbed while a man was also injured in a brutal attack that has rocked Ireland to its core.
Fires raged on the streets of Dublin last night as police vehicles, trams and buses were burned in protest. Garda (Irish police) chief Drew Harris hit out at the "far right hooligans" responsible – comments which drew the ire of UFC legend McGregor.

Taking to X, McGregor wrote: "Innocent children ruthlessly stabbed by a mentally deranged non-national in Dublin, Ireland today. Our chief of police had this to say on the riots in the aftermath. Drew, not good enough.
"There is grave danger among us in Ireland that should never be here in the first place, and there has been zero action done to support the public in any way, shape or form with this frightening fact. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Make change or make way. Ireland for the victory. God bless those attacked today, we pray."
According to gardai, two of the three children stabbed are five-years-old, one of whom remains in a critical condition in hospital. The other child is six-years-old, while the woman who was stabbed is believed to be in her 30s.
McGregor, who was born and raised in Dublin, has been very active on X since the attack. After slating Harris, he wrote: "You reap what you sow," before adding: "Absolutely horrific scenes all day, my stomach is churning. With no action being taken at all during these ever more frequent events, like literally zero action taken whatsoever, how do we expect an end to this? We need reform. WE NEED ACTION!"

The 35-year-old also slammed the "absolutely worthless" statements released by Ireland's top politicians, including Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and President D. Higgins. "I don’t care about President Higgins statement. Or Varadkar's statement. Or Mary Lou’s. Or Justice McEntee’s. Or Garda commissioner’s. Announce our plan of action!! What are we waiting for? Your statements of nothing are absolutely worthless to the solving of this issue. Take Action!! Fix this situation IMMEDIATELY!"
He also hit out at what he described as "weak and feeble" members of the media who have continually smeared opponents of mass-immigration into Ireland as 'far-fight'. "The most divisive of all is the weak man. One of the most horrific crimes this nation ever seen has occurred, we do not care anymore what you sad cases have got to say.
"In a war you are nothing. We are not backing down, we are only warming up. There will be no backing down until real change is implemented for the safety of our nation. We are not losing any more of our woman and children to sick and twisted people who should not even be in Ireland in the first place. Call it what you want. We do not care. May God help us all. Ireland for victory."
When did the attack happen?
Emergency services rushed to Parnell Square East shortly after 1.30pm after reports of five people injured. Three children and an adult woman were injured in the stabbing – the woman and a five-year-old girl were injured seriously.
After initial confusion, Garda said a man in his 40s who also sustained serious injuries was the only person of interest in their investigation. Varadkar confirmed a suspect was detained at the scene, which is close to a primary school.
Garda Superintendent Liam Geraghty said this evening: "Preliminary indications are that a male attacked a number of people on Parnell Square East. Five casualties have been taken to hospitals in the Dublin region.
"These casualties include three young children, an adult female and an adult male. One girl, aged five years, has sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving emergency medical treatment in CHI Temple Street."
Geraghty said the incident was not thought to be terror-related. "It would appear to be a standalone attack, and we need to determine the reasons behind that," he said. It also emerged that members of the public intervened and tackled the suspected knifeman. Siobhan Kearney was one of those people.
She told RTE News: "I looked across the road and I seen a man in a stabbing motion with a load of children. So I flew across the road and then the man was also stabbing two children as far as I could make out. It was absolutely bedlam."
Siobhan described how she and others "formed a ring around the man". It was about three minutes before emergency services arrived at the scene.
Rioters cause city centre hell
Disorder broke out on the streets close to where the attack happened later in the evening. Gardaí in riot gear were deployed, and soon videos emerged on social media showing violent clashes between Gardaí and masked protestors.
The initial images showed scuffles and bottles being thrown, but the chaos appeared to escalate. Fireworks were thrown and Garda vehicles attacked – smashed to pieces before being set on fire. The same fate soon befell buses and a tram – resulting in public transport shutting down – before businesses were attacked too.
Rioters took the opportunity to loot a Foot Locker store on O’Connell Street. Gardaí eventually managed to disperse most of the crowd with a series of coordinated presses. Garda Commissioner Drew Harris slammed the protestors as a "complete lunatic hooligan faction driven by far-right ideology". He said the Garda's full resources will be committed to "making arrests and bringing offenders to justice".
He asked people to "act responsibly and not to listen to the misinformation and rumour that is circulating on social media", and suggested "rumour" and "innuendo" were being spread regarding the attack earlier in the day.
