British boxing legend Chris Eubank Sr has suffered more tragedy after the death of his older brother, Simon, a little more than two years after losing his son, Sebastian, in a drowning incident.

Simon's son, Harlem Eubank – who is also a boxer – confirmed the news in a post that read: "Rest easy up there dad. We love you and we’ll try do you proud."

A professional fighter himself, Simon fought under the name 'Eubanks' and had moderate success in the ring, though nothing compared to that of his younger brother. The former super-welterweight contender won just seven times in 27 outings between 1984 and 1992, and his last win was an eighth-round stoppage of Trevor Smith in 1990.

A cause of death remains unknown, with Eubank Sr still seeking answers regarding the details of the tragedy that took son Sebastian's life in the summer of 2021. The 29-year-old was at sea in Dubai where he lived at the time of the incident and suffered a heart attack, leaving behind a widow and young son.

Eubank Sr, 57, has filed court papers in Las Vegas in an effort to learn more about the details surrounding that day. News of Simon's death was also announced on the same day Chris Eubank Jr turned 34, marking the occasion with a post that read: "Let’s see how far we can go from here."

Harlem Eubank has entered the family business also and currently boasts an unblemished 18-0 record, currently fighting at super-lightweight. The 29-year-old has already won twice in 2023 and most recently stopped Ishmael Ellis in the seventh round when they met in July.

Irish boxer Michael Conlan was among those to send their condolences, replying to the post: "Sorry for you loss my brother." Fellow boxer Shannon Courtenay also reached out to Eubank and said she was 'sending him and his family lots of love'.

It was only at the start of September the Eubank family was revelling in Chris Jr's comeback at the elite level after he stopped Liam Smith after 10 rounds. 'Next Gen' was stopped by Smith in the fourth back in January but clinched his revenge in most convincing fashion.

That victory has given Eubank Jr fresh hope of launching a new campaign for silverware at middleweight, calling out the likes of Kell Brook and Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin in his post-fight comments. He spoke about the motivation his brother's dead has given him in recent times, with the Eubank family suffering more tragedy this week.
