Legendary chaser Un De Sceaux has been retired with just 11 days to go until the start of the Cheltenham Festival.
The 12-year-old was being prepared for his sixth run at the meeting, but time has been called on his career due to injury.
During his many years on the track, he gained many fans for his bold front running style, which won his connections over £1.5 million in prize money.
The veteran triumphed in 23 of his 34 starts including two races at The Festival- the 2015 Arkle and 2017 Ryanair Chase.
His record has ten Grade One races on it, the highest level in National Hunt racing, for owners the O'Connell family.
