Stradbroke Handicap hopeful Savatoxl will need to pass an 11th-hour vet exam after Queensland Racing Integrity Stewards were unable to pass the gelding on Thursday afternoon.
The Tony and Calvin McEvoy-trained galloper will be inspected on Friday afternoon to determine it’s fitness for the $1.5m feature on Saturday.
Savatoxl is rated a $21 chance by TAB following his sixth in the Kingsford-Smith Cup a fortnight ago.
He was also required to be revetted going into that race but was later passed fit to run.
Third emergency Blazejowski will also need to pass a vet inspection on Friday afternoon.
Following the scratching of Madam Rouge earlier on Thursday, it leaves the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained Amish Boy as the first emergency.
