Herald Sun form analyst Brad Waters runs the rule over Friday night’s card at Cranbourne.
SAVVY LAD (Race 5 No. 5 – $3.60)
Savvy Lad took a couple of runs to build fitness but he was a solid winner after having every chance at Cranbourne last Friday night. The locally-trained four-year-old will be fitter again and will again be hard to hold out.
HEREFORAGOODTIME (Race 3 No. 10 – $2.50)
Hereforagoodtime hit the line hard but went down narrowly at Cranbourne a fortnight ago and won’t have to improve much to break through this time. Expect him to be charging home late again.

TOBYTOFF (Race 4 No. 9 – $6)
The Ken and Kasey Keys stable is always hard to beat on their home deck at Cranbourne and Tobytoff is a chance to give the duo another win. He lead but was outgunned late at Yarra Valley but will be well suited her from barrier one.
ARROANCE (Race 7 No. 9 – $7)
Arroance started at short odds but had no trouble leading throughout to score at Sale last time. The Mark Webb-trained filly steps up in grade on Friday night but she’s worth following.
ONSLAUGHT (Race 8 No. 2 – $15)
Onslaught hasn’t won this time in but the Shawn Mathrick-trained gelding has gone well in two of his last three runs. He was third behind a pair of handy ones at his last run and rates a good each-way chance in the last at Cranbourne.

Damien Thornton has a book of six rides at Cranbourne on Friday night and will be out to improve on last Friday’s frustrating night where he rode three minor placings from four rides.
HEADPHONES (Race 1 No. 1 – $13), FLEURS DE LIS (Race 2 No. 6 – $9.50), MAGIC MURPHY (Race 3 No. 4 – $21), MY BUTTONS BIGGER (Race 4 No. 2 – $41), IRISH SEQUEL (Race 5 No. 3 – $7.50), SODALITE (Race 8 No. 9 – $34).
THE WEEK AHEAD
