Nigel Hawke has a claim to fame which evaded so many leading jump jockeys – thanks to his Grand National-winning ride on Seagram in 1991.

The 11-year-old, trained by David Barons, carried the same name as the sponsors – and denied that season’s Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Garrison Savannah a famous double in National Hunt’s two biggest races.
