Track: Good 4. Rail: +3m 1000m-winning post, True remainder
RACE 1: TAB HIGHWAY CLASS 3 HANDICAP (1400M)
Overview: Looks a nice race for Philipsburg and he was good in a strong TAB Highway fresh. The step up to 1400m from a good draw suits. I like the way Whatsin has been going this prep and he should be strong late here. He needs to do it on dry ground now though. Commando Hunt had no luck fresh and will appreciate seven furlongs, while Danzadel looks next best.
BETTING ADVICE: TBC
RACE 2: RANVET HANDICAP (1200M)
Overview: Fascinating race and it’s more open than the market gives it credit for. Zakat’s figures stack up OK here and he should get a good run just off the speed and be ready to pounce late. Broken Arrows had no luck last start and he is a horse that should relish 1200m. Big Parade is the best horse in the race at this distance and the only query is whether he needs the run. All Time Legend has claims but I have be against him at the short price here.
BETTING ADVICE: Expecting Zakat and Broken Arrows to run well at odds.

RACE 3: PREMIER’S CUP PRELUDE (2000M)
Overview: Open race. Pancho brings some decent figures from Victoria and he should land outside lead here and give a good kick. Criminal Code has been looking for 2000m and gets his chance with no weight on his back. Ziegfeld should lead with James McDonald on but he is too short all the same considering the big rise in distance and the fact the stable feel he is better on wet ground. Laure Me In also has claims.
BETTING ADVICE: Leaning to Pancho.
RACE 4: PRECISE FIRE HANDICAP (1200M)
Overview: Interesting race. Mr Mozart is the boom horse and he was a good winner on debut and then was four weeks between runs up sharply in trip at his other start and was caught wide on a day where the fence was the place to be. Rustic Steel was a solid winner fresh and this looks a natural progression. Tocomah is untapped and must be included if he runs here, while Bacchanalia gets in well at the weights and also has claims.
BETTING ADVICE: Mr Mozart perhaps?
RACE 5: MIDWAY HANDICAP (1200M)
Overview: One race I still need to do a bit more work on but there are plenty of chances. Finally Realise was a good city winner last start and his figures tie in well here. Tocomah is the horse to beat if he gains a start and he is a nice, progressive horse. Bowery Breeze sets up well in this grade and has each-way claims as well.
BETTING ADVICE: Expecting Finally Realise and Bowery Breeze to run well at odds.
RACE 6: QUAYCLEAN HANDICAP (2000M)
Overview: Open race but Crystal Pegasus looks a nice horse and that Wicklow form looks good. Major Artie has been building nicely and he gets his chance out to 2000m. Mayfair Spirit was very good first-up at Sale when four wide no cover throughout and he just needs luck from the wide draw. Bethencourt has had no luck his past two starts and also has claims.
BETTING ADVICE: Leaning to Crystal Pegasus.

RACE 7: THE AGENCY SPRING PREVIEW (1400M)
Overview: Frosty Rocks got a soft lead fresh but he fought off the canvas to score. He gets some weight relief here and the only concerns are potential pressure from the inside from Man Of Peace and the fact that he has been disappointing second-up the past few preps. Oscar Zulu was too bad to be true last start and can improve at each-way odds, while Gaulois runs his usual consistent race.
BETTING ADVICE: Leaning to Frosty Rocks.
RACE 8: UP AND COMING STAKES (1300M)
Overview: Very open race. Tiger Of Malay has the class but he has the 61kg to lump all the same. Brigantine was a solid winner fresh and while the form out of that race hasn’t really stacked up, the light weight gives him a hope. Concocted should appreciate 1300m, while Construct and Coastwatch also have winning claims.
BETTING ADVICE: Tiger Of Malay the horse to beat but Brigantine can run well at odds.
RACE 9: BOWERMANS COMMERCIAL FURNITURE HANDICAP (1400M)
Overview: Very even mares race. Glorious Dream was solid in midweek grade last start and she gets a good run on the map here from gate two. Stellar Pauline should roll forward and give a kick, while Rock My Wand and Hastobegood should both be running on late.
BETTING ADVICE: Glorious Dream to win.
RACE 10: ELITE SAND & SOIL HANDICAP (1400M)
Overview: Good race to finish the day. Rule The World did enough fresh to suggest this race is within his grasp. Ashman burnt the candle at both ends to score last start and should take some catching again, while Olympic Legend kept finding last start and also has claims. Pale King is the boom horse here and the late betting could tell the story about his chances.
BETTING ADVICE: Boxed trifecta 2,4,10,13.
