Granit Xhaka’s wife has posted to social media the injury in which the Arsenal player has had inflicted on his knee.
During the Gunner’s impressive 3-1 win over Tottenham, the midfielder was forced off with damage to his leg when he collided with winger Lucas Moura inside 82 minutes during their Premier League derby.
Arsenal enjoyed one of their best displays of the season – Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka all grabbing themselves a goal.
But the occasion was marred by the injury to Xhaka, who came off in the second half.
The severity of the injury is not yet known, however, an Instagram upload from Xhaka’s long-term partner, Leonita Leka, showed the player looking in meek condition, wearing a leg brace
Arsenal face Brighton at the weekend and could make it five wins out of five games.
Then they will then encounter Crystal Palace and Aston Villa in the Premier League before hosting a struggling Leeds in the Carabao Cup
Arsenal are tenth in the Premier League table, and are five points off league leaders Liverpool.
Following the empathic win over their arch-rivals, Mikel Arteta said to Sky Sports: “This win is for the fans.
