Fulham are the latest club to express an interest in Liverpool attacker Harry Wilson. The Welsh international, who recently represented his country at Euro 2020, is expected to depart Anfield this summer on a permanent basis as he looks to start a new chapter in his career.

Wilson has been with the Reds since joining their academy back in 2005 but has struggled to make the grade in the first team.

He spent last season back on loan in the Championship with Cardiff following an impressive stint at Bournemouth in 2019/20.

The 24-year-old chalked up seven goals in 37 outings for the Bluebirds but it appears that was not enough to fully convince Jurgen Klopp that he is worthy of a place in his side.

Liverpool are instead looking to offload in order to boost their transfer kitty.

According to The Athletic, discussions have now been held with Championship side Fulham over a deal.

The report states that Liverpool have told the Cottagers that they want £15m to sell the attacking midfielder.

It’s unclear whether Fulham are willing to pay that price as of yet.

New boss Marco Silva is looking to add some extra quality in the final third though and Wilson has plenty of pedigree in the Championship having also spent time with Hull and Derby respectively.

West Brom and Brentford are also thought to be keen on Wilson although they are yet to follow up their interest.

Talks were held with Benfica at the end of June over a deal but those discussions broke down over the asking price.

Liverpool are keen to recoup as much as they can for a host of fringe players having now agreed the sales of Marko Grujic and Taiwo Awoniyi.

Jurgen Klopp would like to add more attacking players to his squad and is mindful that he could lose Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane for the African Cup of Nations in January.

Harvey Elliott could yet stay at the club after impressing on loan at Blackburn Rovers last season.

He played the full match in Liverpool’s 30-minute pre-season friendly against Stuttgart in Austria this afternoon.

Liverpool will also listen to offers for Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri but the pair could still yet stay.

Transfer activity is expected to spike in the coming weeks before the Premier League season kicks off on August 14.
