Ben Foster has been slated by Watford fans after a Liverpool-supporting UFC star was kicked out of the home end at Vicarage Road.

The Watford goalkeeper has come under heavy fire after he provided UFC fighter Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett with a ticket in the home section for Saturday’s match against Liverpool.

Foster’s guest was then ejected from the stadium by stewards after wildly celebrating in amongst the opposition fans as Liverpool thumped five goals without reply past the hapless Hornets.

The outspoken Liverpudlian, who has shot to UFC fame in recent months, labelled Watford a “s*** club” in an X-rated rant as he was escorted out of Vicarage Road.

Pimblett posted footage of his removal from the stadium on to his Instagram account, where he revealed that Watford stopper Foster was accountable for supplying his tickets.

“Ben Foster gave me the tickets, I didn't get to pick where I sat,” Pimblett could be seen arguing in the video while being ejected from the Watford crowd.

“Watford, Ben Foster, I love you mate. But I hope Watford go down, youse are horrible, horrible.”

The episode has seen Foster receive much backlash from his own fans for arranging Pimblett’s controversial attendance.

One Hornets fan tweeted: “Tried to defend Foster recently while everyone has given him stick. But that incident with Paddy is the final straw for me. Had enough.”

Another remarked: “Heard Foster got Paddy Pimblett’s ticket in the home end. If true, that’s indefensible. The practice is banned by the club, takes tickets away from home fans, bloke proceeds to cause trouble and get kicked out. Love Ben but this getting famous people tickets especially in our end is seriously poor.”

The news further compounded what was already a dismal afternoon for Watford after Claudio Ranieri’s first game in charge ended in a 5-0 drubbing to Jurgen Klopp’s men, the Italian’s biggest ever defeat as manager in the Premier League.

A Robert Firmino hat-trick and goals from Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah sealed the rampant win for Liverpool with the latter netting a stunning solo effort.

Following the defeat, Foster heaped praise on the exhilarating Egyptian, who was hailed by manager Klopp as the best player in the world.

“There are times when he gets the ball that as a goalkeeper he just worries you,” Foster revealed. “He can do anything: go inside, outside, drop a shoulder, his movement is incredible.

“And his work-rate, that's the bit I like the most. He is so willing to run, so willing to work, it is a rare quality in a player with all the other attributes as well. As a keeper you think, 'Oh my God, don't let him shoot'.

“Seeing that up close and personal against Liverpool, I wouldn't disagree with Klopp's assessment that he is one of the best players in the world at the moment.”
