Aston Villa are proving ambitious in the transfer market again this summer.

Dean Smith's side finished an impressive 11th in the Premier League last season and have already signed attacking midfielder Emi Buendia for £35m and agreed a deal for Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.

But Villa are also preparing for the exit of Jack Grealish, and could be boosted by a huge transfer fee received for their talisman.

The Villains are expected to be busy before the transfer window slams shut at end of the month.

Here, Daily Star Sport takes a look at all the latest transfer news surrounding Villa Park…

Villa to re-sign Tuanzebe

Axel Tuanzebe is closing in on a season-long loan move to Aston Villa.

That's according to The Athletic, who claim Dean Smith has been keen to add Tuanzebe to his ranks for centre-back and right-back cover.

Tuanzebe enjoyed two loan spells at Villa Park in 2018 and 2019, becoming a popular figure with fans.

And he is now set to return in the hope of more game time after Manchester United recently strengthened in the centre-back department with the signing of Raphael Varane.

Smith steps up Cantwell interest

Where will Aston Villa finish in the Premier League this season? Let us know in the comments section.

Villa look set to step up their interest in Norwich City playmaker Todd Cantwell.

The Canaries have already lost one star midfielder to Villa after Emi Buendia arrived in the Midlands earlier this summer.

And they could lose another, as Sky Sports report that Villa are set to 'formalise their interest' in the exciting 23-year-old.

It is added that Norwich are aware of Villa's interest, but are reluctant to sell with just two weeks until the Premier League season begins.

Jack Grealish heading to Man City

Villa's interest in Cantwell coincides with the news that Jack Grealish is set to finalise his move to Manchester City.

Grealish is poised to complete a £100m transfer to the Etihad and become the most expensive British player of all time.

The England international has said goodbye to his Villa teammates ahead of signing a five-year deal at City worth £300,000-per-week.

Villa fans have been desperate for Grealish to stay at his boyhood club, but a move to Pep Guardiola's Citizens now appears imminent.
