Tottenhams Japhet Tanganga fumes over his FIFA 22 card nobody would use

Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga has admitted that he won't be choosing to use his own card on FIFA 22 Ultimate Team after seeing his overall rating and position.

The England youth international was part of a card reveal alongside Spurs team-mates Sergio Reguilon and Matt Doherty, immediately realising that he was the only one with a silver card.

With the two-full backs pleased with their overall rankings, Tanganga was left disappointed by more than one stat including his defending, physicality and overall ranking.

His reaction comes after Jack Grealish and Declan Rice got an early look at their own cards, with the West Ham midfielder also feeling underwhelmed.

Despite being pleased by his 66 dribbling and even 35 shooting, Tanganga was not happy about being a right-back over a centre-back and also his pace rating of 76.

He said of his defending on the video posted by SPURSTV: "It's a silver card, so I can't get too ahead of myself."

Predicting 75, he wasn't too disappointed by his defending of 73.

Passing however, was particularly disappointing, with Reguilon laughing at his facial expression after he removed a sticker to see his rating of 60.

Speaking of his physicality, he said: "I think this is the strongest asset of my game, so I'll be very disappointed if this isn't 79 or above."

Tanganga was again not pleased to see 74, asking: "How are you adding this up?"

On seeing his overall rating which has increased from 71 to 73, and right-back position, Tanganga exclaimed: "What is this? 73?! Right-back, I'm not using myself, who would use this?!"

That comes after Rice said of his stats after being pleased by an improvement in his overall ranking to 83: "I'm not slow, I'm not slow, that's the thing

"81 defence, 79 physical and 74 dribble. I'm convinced they just sit at a computer because they're bored writing a thousand players down and go 'yeah he's a sixty-something, he's a seventy-something… done."

Grealish said in response: "You should be higher than that, come on, you should be.

"What's mad is your pace mate, I'm 14 more pace than you!"
