Graeme Souness has slammed Paul Pogba’s lengthy absence through injury and claims the midfielder simply doesn’t want to play for Manchester United.
Pogba has made just eight appearances in all competitions this term after missing the bulk of the season with a mystery ankle injury.
The France international returned from injury in December but it then emerged he’d gone under the knife in order to fix the problem for good.

But fans and pundits have questioned his apparent physical problems after he filmed himself dancing at social events on social media and Souness has questioned his commitment to United.
He said to Sky Sports: ‘It’s just the cynic in me, I’m thinking Paul Pogba… I see him dancing at a wedding, I see him shooting hoops, and the cynic in me thinks he doesn’t want to be at United. How can you not want to play for Man United, if that’s the case?’
In contrast, Everton’s Andre Gomes has made an astonishing recovery from a dislocated ankle, just three months after sustaining the injury back in November.

‘You’ve got Andre Gomes playing today, horrific ankle injury. Is it 14 bones in his… half the players out there today will be playing with something floating around in their ankle joint. It mystifies me, it really does.’
He added: ‘Maybe United should be looking at the medical staff here at Goodison, they got Gomes back in a fraction of the time for what would appear to be a far worse injury.’
Souness also predicted that Pogba will eventually return to full fitness, just in time for this summer’s European Championships.
He said: ‘What odds would you give me that he’ll be available for six/seven games for United, given that the Euros are coming up?’
In Pogba’s absence, Bruno Fernandes shone again at Goodison Park and scored his third goal for the club with a 20-yard drive to make it 1-1 after Dominic Calvert-Lewin had put Everton in front on Sunday.
