Riyad Mahrez’s fiancee says ‘punches and plant pots thrown’ in alleged brawl

Riyad Mahrez's fiancee Taylor Ward has claimed a member of her family was repeatedly punched in the face and plant pots were thrown during an alleged altercation with a group of "fame hungry" girls on holiday.

Ward, 23, spent the last few weeks enjoying a summer break with the Manchester City star in Mykonos, Greece, and even marked the occasion by getting engaged.

However, their vacation was not all positive, as she also shared a video on her Instagram page showing a woman angrily throwing items during an altercation in a shop.

One of the other girls involved claims to have had her phone stolen and suffered an eye injury from the incident, but Ward has refuted those allegations and given her own version of events in an Instagram post.

"I’m not going to speak anymore on this pathetic situation and give these girls the five minutes of fame they’re so desperately looking for," Mahrez's fiancee wrote.

"This is a complete and utter fabrication. Me and my family were having a lovely night. The girls who supposedly 'don’t know us' came into the shop filming us and were asked nicely to stop.

"The girl approached us and sat in the middle of our group looking for a fight refusing to move whilst her friends stood and filmed.

"We asked her to leave. She wouldn’t. She carried on to shout and was the one who launched herself at one of my family members punching them in the face five times.

"She then started throwing plant pots and other items across the shop in rage at which point we left and they followed us down the street. Screaming and filming.

"This is where I went back and told her to stop filming where she launched at me again. (The video which has been posted).
