Paris Saint-Germain have sounded out Erling Haaland with a view to the Borussia Dortmund striker replacing Kylian Mbappe before next week’s transfer deadline.
The Ligue 1 giants stunned world football earlier this summer by completing the signing of Lionel Messi from Barcelona with a view to forming a lethal forward line, comprising of the Argentine, Mbappe and Neymar.
France international Mbappe, however, is said to harbour little desire to play alongside Messi and instead hellbent on fulfilling a childhood ambition of playing for Real Madrid.
PSG are said to have reluctantly accepted a bid of €180 million accepted for a player who has entered into the final year of his contract and shown little willingness to enter into negotiations over an extension.
