Neymar has been branded a "spoilt brat who bosses everyone around" by former PSG star Edouard Cisse.
Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona for a world-record £198million in 2017 and is now part of a star-studded line-up in the French capital.
Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Angel di Maria are all team-mates of Neymar but they couldn't stop PSG losing 2-0 at Rennes this weekend.
And that defeat led Mendy to criticise Neymar, saying: "He is a great player, no one can dispute that, but he has become a spoilt brat and he bosses everyone around.
"At Barcelona there was a structure. [Neymar] had a cleaner style of play, although he dribbled more.
"His job was to break the defensive line, make the difference and pass the ball to the general [Lionel] Messi.
"He did it so well that he became his 'alter ego'."
But Mendy believes the move to PSG has hindered Brazil star Neymar.
He added: "In Paris, they gave him the keys and they let him do what he wanted. In one moment, he was lost."

Neymar was substituted off during the defeat to Rennes, though PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino insisted the star wasn't struggling physically.
"No that’s not it," the ex-Tottenham manager said. "We had five days [since the match against Manchester City].
"I repeat, we had 25-30 minutes of very good quality. We had control of the game.
"We conceded the goal on top. When we start the second half, we are immediately 2-0 down, it’s a different game afterwards."
