Paul Pogba goes bald following in Man Utd team-mate Anthony Martial’s footsteps

Manchester United team-mates have shocked supporters by shaving their heads while practising social distancing.

Anthony Martial was the first to reveal his new bald look earlier this week, with Paul Pogba’s decision to copy that likely to have surprised supporters.

The 27-year-old is known for his regularly changing locks, having sported red, blue and white dye in the past.

The World Cup winner showed off his new style in an Instagram post on Wednesday, in which he greeted his followers from the comfort of his own home.

He said: "This is Paul Pogba, AKA 'La Pioche'.

"I'm at the PP Arena. This is where I spend most of my time at home in confinement.

"I'm with the little one, we're playing football, fooling around I dribble past him until he grows up and does the same to me!

"These are the things you can do at home to stay safe if you have a garden, if you're inside even in a small apartment with a foam ball, like we used to do back in the days – we play, we break things, we say sorry to our parents and go on!

“I’m kidding! I'll see you soon, on the pitch, not this one, the big one!"

Pogba started by introducing himself as la Pioche, which he previously revealed means the ‘kid that helps others’ when translated.

The former Juventus midfielder had been due to return to first-team training before the club urged all their players to try and keep fit at home, and he is likely to be ready to return when Premier League fixtures resume.

"Paul knows he has to work hard to get back to his best," said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer earlier this year.

"He has been out now for so long now, it's a challenge to get back into shape."

Before adding: "Well of course, I'd like to say that as soon as he gets fit, he'll be good enough to play for the team.

“I’m sure Paul's desperate to play for us again. Paul is still on his recovery programme.

“He's taken off his cast and started running on the treadmill now, so he's getting closer.”
