Neymar was one of five players to be sent off in injury time of PSG’s defeat to Marseille on Sunday night at the Parc des Princes.
Leonardo Paredes and Layvin Kurzawa were also sent off for PSG, while Marseille’s Jordan Amavi and Dario Benedetto saw red as well.
It was an incredibly tense affair in Paris with Florian Thauvin’s strike on the half hour mark the only thing separating the two sides.
But as the hosts pressed for an equaliser, tempers rose and spilled over as a brawl broke out in injury time.
Left-back duo Kurzawa and Amavi were sent off first by referee Jerome Brisard, before Paredes and Benedetto followed suit.
After consulting with the video assistant referee, Brisard also dished out a red card to Neymar, who was playing in his first game back since testing positive for Covid-19.
A handful of yellow cards were dished out to players from both teams throughout the games, and practically every player got involved in the scrap on the half way line.
The defeat leaves PSG in the Ligue 1 relegation zone, having also lost their opening game of the season to recently promoted Lens.
The club have struggled greatly in recent weeks due to a number of their players testing positive for coronavirus.
Six PSG players were all struck down but the deadly virus earlier this month, including star striker Kylian Mbappe, as well as Neymar.
PSG Sporting Director Leonardo criticised the choice of referee after the game for his lack of experience.
He said: "I don't understand why for a match like this we don't have Turpin or Bouquet. This referee has no experience, 1 Europa League match."
