Ruben Neves was left fuming at full time after Wolves ’ 0-1 defeat to Manchester United at Molyneux.
The Portuguese midfielder was unhappy with a challenge on him by Paul Pogba in the build to Mason Greenwood’s deciding goal.
In the 50/50 scenario, Pogba caught Neves right in front of Mike Dean, but the referee, nor VAR, thought it was a foul.
Speaking after the match Neves said: “Everyone saw it, everyone saw my leg, we always do meetings and everything with referees about VAR, I don’t know why.
“They said before the season started they will look for contact – if the contact is strong enough, they will give the foul. I showed them my leg."
Neves initially stayed on his feet, before going down after Pogba’s desperate attempt to get the ball, after taking a sloppy touch.
“I think maybe because last game it was a foul before the Southampton goal, maybe now they did the opposite. I showed my leg to the ref, I showed to the assistant ref, I cannot say anything more.
“After the game he said ‘you both go to the ball’ and I said ‘yes, we both go to win the ball but I was the one who touched the ball’. It’s a foul, a clear foul.”

This is Wolves third straight defeat in their opening three Premier League games.
Despite not having any points on the board going into the first international break, the Midlands club can still be pleased with their efforts during the opening stages of the campaign.
In the game against Manchester United, they had plenty of opportunities to take the lead prior to Greenwood’s strike.
Most notably David De Gea made a strong double save to deny Romain Saiss from scoring what looked like a certain goal.
