Michael Ballack’s son dead: Emilio Ballack dies aged 18 after quad crash

Michael Ballack’s 18-year-old son has passed away in a tragic quad crash, Portuguese media have reported. The teenager is said to have died in the early hours of the morning in Troia, Portugal.

The accident is said to have happened around 2am, where firefighters were called to the scene.

Reports in Portugal state the tragic indident occured on a plot of land near a house Michael Ballack bought several eyars ago.

The vehicle Emilio was riding on at the time is said to have been designed for the public road.

Michael Ballack retired from professional football in 2012 and is regarded as one of the greatest Germany internationals of all time.

He joined Chelsea in 2006 and won honours in his first season at the club.

He left Stamford Bridge after playing part of a league and cup double in 2010.
