Mauricio Pochettino wants to fulfil his dream of managing Real Madrid and Florentino Perez has made the Argentine his top managerial target, according to reports in Spain. Tottenham opened talks with their former boss this morning over a sensational return to north London but now they have competition for Pochettino.

Paris Saint-Germain remain determined to keep hold of their manager, who only arrived less than six months ago.

But they are now facing a battle to keep Pochettino at the club as Real Madrid and Tottenham battle it out for his services.

Pochettino is understood to be frustrated by the politics behind the scenes at PSG.

He also failed to win the Ligue 1 title with the club after finishing the season with just the Coupe de la Ligue trophy under his belt.

Now it looks as if Pochettino is preparing the manufacture his own departure and there are two options on the table.

According to Goal in Spain, Real Madrid have now made Pochettino their priority.

The same report adds that Pochettino dreams of managing Real Madrid, who he considers the biggest club in world football.

Pochettino has close ties to Espanyol meaning he would never manage Barcelona.

Perez is now planning to make contact with Pochettino to see if he’d be willing to take the job.
