Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will meet with the club’s top brass to discuss transfer targets after tonight’s Europa League final with Villarreal, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Red Devils are determined to spend wisely this summer as they look to knock Manchester City off their perch next term. So Express Sport will now look at five players they’re likely to discuss.
Let’s face it.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 18 months – and we’d be pretty understanding if you had given everything that’s gone on – you’ll know United want to sign Jadon Sancho.
And he’s likely to be the club’s priority target ahead of the summer transfer window.
Interest in Sancho actually predates Solskjaer’s time in charge, with Jose Mourinho interested in the winger four years ago.
And, having missed out three times previously, it could be that fourth time is a charm.

United aren’t prioritising a striker at the current moment in time.
They’re happy with Edinson Cavani extending his stay at Old Trafford, with the Uruguay international currently in a rich vein of form.
But the availability of Harry Kane represents an interesting dilemma.
The Tottenham star wants to leave – and United are one of the few clubs on the planet who have the financial muscle required.
So it’s feasible Solskjaer and the Glazers vow to attack his situation with gusto once the Villarreal final is done and dusted.

Well, the latest news suggests United are very much probing whether a return for Cristiano Ronaldo is possible this summer.
The Juventus star is ready to leave the Allianz Stadium behind and appeared to hint the end was nigh with a social media message over the weekend.
Solskjaer has long dreamed of having Ronaldo in his squad.
And with the stars beginning to align, a return is a genuine possibility.
United know they can’t rely on Scott McTominay and Fred to win them the Premier League title.
So that’s why they’re eyeing West Ham star Declan Rice, who has endeared himself to club scouts with his fine displays over at the London Stadium this term.
The England international helped the Hammers secure European football.
And it’s understandable why United want to snap him up.
Rice could hold the key to helping Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba get even better – should the Frenchman stay, that is…
Last, but certainly not least, is Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane.
Interest in the France international, much like with Sancho, dates back to well beyond Solskjaer’s time at the helm.
And with Real Madrid preparing to let Varane go this summer, a move to Old Trafford may be on the cards.
At the very least, it’s sure to be discussed.
And, if United do get Varane, they’ll provide Harry Maguire with the perfect centre-back partner for the long run.
