Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford appears to be ahead of schedule in his recovery from shoulder surgery after returning to training this week.
The England forward opted for surgery earlier this month on a shoulder issue that has troubled him over the last 18 months.
United had expected Rashford to return to first team duties in late October and while that time frame is still the expectation, the forward was able to do some ball work on the training field yesterday.
In a video released by United, Rashford can be seen doing a session away from the main group where he does some running drills and ball work.
However, the arrival of Jadon Sancho and the return of Jesse Lingard has eased United’s reliance on Rashford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said Rashford was ‘very happy’ with the operation and he can’t wait to return to first team action.
‘He seemed very happy with the surgery,’ said Solskjaer.
‘He’s working in the gym. We see him every day so he’ll be chomping at the bit when it gets nearer to the time when he can come back.’
