Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag reviews Wolves win
Randal Kolo Muani is reportedly expected to reject Premier League moves to Manchester United or Liverpool this summer. Bundesliga side Bayern Munich apparently lead the race to sign Kolo Muani, who has enjoyed a prolific spell with Eintracht Frankfurt.
United and Liverpool had both eyed the 24-year-old as part of their plans to strengthen their respective attacking options. According to reports in Germany, Red Devils chiefs even had the France star ‘ranked higher’ than fellow target Victor Osimhen.
Frankfurt are likely to stay firm on their valuation for the 22-goal forward, with sporting director Markus Krosche insisting that a reported bid of £69million (€80m) would be rejected. Krosche said: “I would refuse 80 million euros. It also makes no sense to make a price tag. We want to keep him.”
German champions Bayern are apparently keen on signing Kolo Muani and are believed to have a better opinion on the striker than they did in January. It is claimed that key club officials harboured doubts over his ability during the winter window, while one of their attackers would need to be sold to fund a move.

According to Sport1, Kolo Muani would prefer a move to Bavaria over a switch to United or Liverpool. He would be welcomed by his close friend and international team-mate, the Bayern defender Dayot Upamecano.
Bayern could sell former Liverpool star Sadio Mane to raise funds for a transfer, despite the attacker being reintegrated into Thomas Tuchel’s squad after his feud wita Leroy Sane. Club officials apparently believe Kolo Muani would cost less than the Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.
Missing out on Kolo Muani would come as a blow to United and Liverpool. Sky Germany recently reported that Old Trafford chiefs had ranked the former Nantes star higher than Osimhen on their transfer shortlist.

Both Premier League sides have plenty of alternatives as they seek to strengthen their attacks. Wide-ranging reports suggest that United are keen on a move for England captain Harry Kane, who could come at a cut-price fee.
That is because Kane’s contract with Tottenham will enter its final 12 months this summer. The 29-year-old will have more power over his future over the coming months than he did when he tried to engineer a departure in 2021.
Osimhen is another option for both teams to explore. The Nigerian has struck 28 goals for Napoli across all competitions this season.
