Manchester United owners the Glazer family are exploring selling the club – and some Red Devils fans can barley contain their excitement.

The Glazer family are exploring financial options at Old Trafford, and that could include selling the club entirely. According to Sky News, investment bankers have been asked to advise on a full or partial sale, or strategic partnership with third parties.

The report also suggests a statement from the Glazers about their future at United is imminent. The Glazers purchased the Red Devils 17 years ago, but the pressure from the fans to sell has ramped up after United's involvement in the European Super League.

United fans have ramped up their protest over the Glazer's in recent seasons – with yellow and green scarfs more and more visible.

On one occasion, following the announcement of the European Super League, United fans stormed Old Trafford in protest of their owners. As a result, the Premier League clash with Liverpool had to be postponed due to fans managing to make their way onto the pitch.

United fans have also staged walkouts at Old Trafford as well as mass protests before games.

The news comes hours after United announced they had mutually agreed to part ways with Cristiano Ronaldo following his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo slammed the Glazer's in the interview as he brutally dissected all of United's failings over the past decade.
