Kane transfer stance

Manchester United duo Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward would both love to sign Harry Kane, according to reports

The Evening Standard say the England skipper is a ‘firm favourite’ of both men.

The United duo have been plotting a summer spending spree as the club eye a first Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement next season.

And it appears they’re in agreement that Kane would be a sensational signing for the Red Devils.

However, that will be easier said than done.

Tottenham supremo Daniel Levy is a notoriously-tough negotiator and would likely demand big money in order to let his talisman leave.

Haaland decision

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has decided he’s still a firm admirer of Erling Haaland.

The 19-year-old was wanted by the Red Devils during his time with Red Bull Salzburg but, in the January transfer window, ended up moving to Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund instead.

Yet the Evening Standard say Solskjaer has decided he’s still a big Haaland admirer, despite being turned down.

And it can’t be ruled out that the Red Devils will choose to revive interest in the goalscorer further down the line.

United are on the lookout for a new striker, despite their current crop of forwards all enjoying good individual campaigns.

Pogba to stay?

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is set to stay at the club for another season, according to transfer expert Duncan Castles.

“Well, the sense I’m getting in general from talking to agents about the transfer market is a feeling that the big deals will not be happening, that you will not get huge increases in transfers fees, you won’t get €100million transfer fees,” Castles said on the Transfer Window podcast.

“This is not the time, that end of the market is not going to be the productive end of the market.

“It’s going to be the stronger clubs picking off the talents from the clubs that are entering financial difficulties.

“So I think it points towards another year at Manchester United for Paul Pogba.

“Since we probably won’t be playing much football in that next year at Manchester United for Paul Pogba, something pretty similar to the last year at Manchester United for Paul Pogba.”

Lemar urged to go

Manchester United target Thomas Lemar has been urged to leave Atletico Madrid as soon as possible.

And French football expert Julien Laurens claims United chiefs have held talks with Lemar’s representatives over a potential summer transfer.

“Yeah [United are] linked with him and they’re going to be more than being linked, they had a meeting with his people, which is normal at this stage of the season,” Laurens told ESPN FC.

“People at United will meet a lot of agents, a lot of players and a lot of discussions.

“Things are just not working out and he needs to get out of there.

“The only question mark we have now is how much Atletico will want for someone they bought 18 months ago for €70million.”
