Manchester United could yet keep Paul Pogba after Juventus set their sights on Houssem Aouar as an alternative to the Frenchman.
The 26-year-old has been linked with an Old Trafford exit for almost a year after saying he wanted a new challenge.
His agent Mino Raiola has also done his utmost to manufacture a move away for the midfielder but United have, so far, been resolute in their stance that he will not be sold.
Pogba has rarely featured this term due to injuries but that hasn't stopped him making the headlines.
Juventus are thought to be one of the leading contenders for his signature alongside Real Madrid with Raiola calling Italy the player's "home".
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has again moved to end any speculation by insisting Pogba will be at Old Trafford next season.
He said on Thursday night: "Paul's our player. He has two years left on his contract, a year plus the option of another. You can expect Paul to be here (next season), yeah."
Juventus have therefore set their sights on the Lyon ace, according to Calciomercato .
Aouar is a far cheaper option with the French club wanting around £45m to seal his services.
