The transfer window was the furthest thing from the mind of anyone at Liverpool on Wednesday night as they lifted the Premier League title for the first time in the club’s history.
A 5-3 win over Chelsea at Anfield was a fitting way to begin a night of celebration on Merseyside.
When the dust has settled, though, thoughts will begin to turn to next season and the defence of the title.
A team that has reached 96 points – and may still yet get 99 – is unlikely to be in need of drastic improvement.
But the Reds are still being linked with players who could potentially add depth to their squad. Here are all the latest Liverpool transfer rumours.
Liverpool prepared to better Napoli offer for Osimhen
Liverpool are willing to offer improved terms to Lille striker Victor Osimhen after a proposed deal from Napoli, according to Tuttosport.
The Serie A club have reportedly offered the 21-year-old a five-year contract worth €25million.
But Liverpool are prepared to better that as they look to secure the transfer of one of Europe’s most in-demand young forwards.
The only stumbling block could be the fee required to sign Osimhen. Napoli are believed to have made a bid of between €60m and €80m, which may be further than Liverpool are willing to stretch.
Reds linked with Real Betis defender
Liverpool could move for Real Betis defender Aissa Mandi this summer, claim Estadio Deportivo.
The Algeria international is entering the final year of his contract with the Spanish club and is reportedly unlikely to sign a new deal.
According to Estadio Deportivo, it would be a “miracle” if an agreement is reached between player and club.
Liverpool, along with Newcastle, are said to be monitoring the availability of Mandi, who has been at Betis since 2016.
The 28-year-old would likely be brought in as cover for the back four, given his ability to play as both a full-back and centre-back.
Mandi could be available for as little as £10m as Betis look to raise cash following the financial impact of the season shutdown.
Lallana could be set for Southampton return
Adam Lallana could make a return to former club Southampton when his Liverpool contract expires at the end of this week, according to the Express.
The 32-year-old was in the matchday squad as Liverpool beat Chelsea and lifted the Premier League title on Wednesday night.
But he did not get the chance to make a final Anfield appearance ahead of his exit this summer.
Southampton are reportedly keen on bringing Lallana back to the south coast as they look to strengthen their midfield.
But the Saints could face competition from Brighton, Leicester and Burnley.
