Liverpool ‘quoted £10m’ for Berge, Wilson bid ‘expected’ and Shaqiri offer

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could be set for his busiest week yet in the transfer window, with bids expected for a number of stars.

The Reds have kept their summer business to a minimum so far, bringing in Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig and allowing Georginio Wijnaldum to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

But things could be about to take off this week as Klopp’s squad begins to take shape for the season ahead.

Daily Star Sport have news of two potential Anfield exits, plus the possible arrival of a midfielder who suffered relegation from the Premier League last season.

Sander Berge quote

Liverpool are on the lookout for a Wijnaldum replacement– and their attention could turn to Sheffield United star Sander Berge.

Klopp is said to be a fan of Berge, with Voetbal24 claiming in March that he is ‘absolutely convinced’ of the 23-year-old’s talent.

And according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Blades want just £10.3million for the Norwegian midfielder’s services. Attractive indeed.

Wilson bid ‘expected’

Benfica had an official approach for Harry Wilson turned down on Friday after failing to negotiate a fee with Liverpool.

But the Portuguese side are expected to go back in again with the Reds reportedly seeking a deal worth around £13million.

Wilson has made just two senior appearances for the Merseysiders and spent last season on loan at Cardiff City.

Shaqiri offer

Liverpool are bracing themselves for a £13million offer from Lazio for Xherdan Shaqiri, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The Reds are not actively looking to sell Shaqiri, but the 29-year-old is seen as expendable if the right offer arrives.

That offer could come soon, with reports over the weekend claiming Lazio have already contacted Liverpool over a possible move for the Switzerland international.
