Liverpool have reportedly identified Diego Carlos as their transfer priority ahead of next season.
The Sevilla centre-back has made a huge impression in La Liga since arriving from Nantes last summer but he could already be on his way out of the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Jurgen Klopp wants Carlos to bolster his defensive line, according to Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo.
The report goes as far as saying that the 27-year-old has been made the club’s priority and Sevilla would consider a sale if they receive an offer of around £44million.

Kostas Tsimikas latest
Liverpool are leading the pack in the battle to sign Olympiacos defender Kostas Tsimikas.
The talented left-back, 23, has three caps for Greece and has caught the attention of several clubs with his Champions League and Europa League displays.
TeamTALK claim Jurgen Klopp’s side are prepared to meet his £22million valuation to provide competition for first-choice full-back Andrew Robertson.
However, they’ll have to fend off competition from Tottenham, Sheffield United and Leicester.

Timo Werner talks
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to meet up with Timo Werner for face-to-face talks over a potential move to Merseyside.
The club have made the German international their top transfer target and are willing to trigger his release clause which is thought to be around £50million.
Now according to Bild, Liverpool are beginning to step up their pursuit of the forward who has scored 21 goals in the Bundesliga this season.
Klopp is keen to meet with Werner to convince him that Anfield is perfect place to make the next step in his career.
The meeting has been placed on hold though because of the coronavirus and may not take place for several months as the saga threatens to rumble on into the summer.

Liverpool have been linked with making a move for Werder Bremen star Milot Rashica in the summer.
But West Ham, Wolves and Aston Villa have also joined the race to sign the youngster in the next transfer window, according to reports in Germany.
Rashica, 23, has caught Jurgen Klopp’s attention with his impressive performances for Werder Bremen this season – netting 10 goals and providing five assists in 24 appearances.
However, according to German publication Der Spiegel, Liverpool face competition from Borussia Dortmund, West Ham, Wolves and Aston Villa for the youngster.
