It seems like there's only one destination in which Timo Werner will head to this summer with Liverpool currently in pole position.
While no negotiations or approaches have been made there appears to be interest from both parties. At the very least, Werner's flirting has caused a stir.
In February the 24-year-old RB Leipzig striker came out and directly said he would be a "good fit" for Liverpool. Before then adding he thinks Jurgen Klopp is the "best coach in the world".
Liverpool's reported transfer chase for Jadon Sancho has been a little quieter.
While no flirting has been done from the England winger he is a perfect fit for Liverpool.
Naturally his arrival would disrupt the front three but so would Werner's – and whoever said strength in depth was a problem?
And, according to The Athletic, the only way in which BOTH players would arrive this summer would be if one of the current front three departed.
This would be a huge price to pay, given what Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have delivered over the past two seasons.
It has been reported that Werner has a reasonable buyout clause while Sancho would cost the Reds around £120million given his age and nationality.
Mane has been linked with Barcelona while Salah's name has appeared in headlines alongside Real Madrid. But it is extremely unlikely Klopp would sanction the sale of one of them in the summer.
In which case the most probable scenario is Werner the only attacker to arrive at Anfield this summer.
