Liverpool may have the chance to sign their own version of Bruno Fernandes for free in the upcoming January transfer window. Portuguese playmaker Fabio Vieira has impressed for Porto in recent months, but is yet to sign a contract extension at the Estadio do Dragao.
Liverpool have reportedly revived their interest in Porto star Vieira as time ticks down on his contract.
The Reds were thought to be keen on the 21-year-old during the summer, but the rumours went quiet as the transfer window wore on.
However, Portuguese outlet Record (via Sport Witness) claim that Jurgen Klopp is once again ready to make an approach for Vieira in January with his contract set to expire next season.
The Portugal U21 international can begin negotiating a pre-contract with foreign clubs in the winter transfer window to agree a move in the summer.

Porto are desperate to get their star prospect to sign a new contract and up his release clause to £43million.
And it is suggested that his decision not to push for a move last summer could suggest that he is willing to negotiate with his boyhood club.
It’s thought that Porto did not receive any offers of note for the attacking-midfielder and that he was never really close to leaving the club.
Vieira has picked up three assists in Porto’s opening four Primeira Liga matches, and has become the driving force for his side in a short space of time, much like Bruno Fernandes did at Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp has hinted that he could make some new signings in the January transfer window.
The German admitted that with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah set to feature in the Africa Cup of Nations, he may be in need of a new attacker.
“It depends on the situation in the squad at the moment,” said Klopp earlier this month. “It’s not ideal, everybody knows that.
“Africa Cup of Nations, they have the right to play their tournament, like Europe and South America, that is completely fine.
“We knew it, we have to deal with it, and we will deal with it. How? We will have to see in January.
“People are saying now that we have to sign two strikers of the same quality as Sadio and Mo, but that cannot be a solution as we cannot do that.
“So we need to find a solution in January.”
