Lionel Messi’s father, Jorge, has hit out against a number of ‘fake stories’ concerning his son’s future. The 65-year-old, who also serves as his son’s agent, claimed reports that Messi junior had left PSG training early on Tuesday, the Parisians were refusing to consider his new deal conditions and that he was on the verge of signing a huge £525million deal with Al Hilal were all false as he vowed to take action.
Messi’s future is one of the major talking points in world football right now with his contract at PSG expiring at the end of the season. Naturally, his next steps have been the subject of intense speculation with a move to the Middle East, MLS side Inter Miami or a return to Barcelona among the choices mooted.
However, Messi’s father Jorge has been unhappy with some of the reporting and hit out against what he saw as ‘fake news’ on his Instagram story. Recent stories have suggested that Messi had fallen out with Christophe Galtier at PSG training on Tuesday while the club’s chiefs were also refusing to consider the conditions he wanted to sign a new deal.
He also hit out at suggestions that Messi was on the verge of signing a mega deal with Al-Hilal and pledge to take action against those spreading falsehoods.

“How long are they going to lie??? Where are the tests??? Ahhh what is it all fake… OK!!!” he wrote. “For many what to put I don’t know believe nothing… WE ARE NOT GOING TO TOLERATE MORE INVENTIONS TO GAIN FOLLOWERS.”
Messi has been a valuable player for PSG since joining from Barcelona in 2021. He has scored 29 goals and contributed 32 assists in 65 games during his 18 months in the French capital helping the Parisians to the Ligue 1 title last season.
However, he has been unable to affect games in the Champions League as he would have hoped with PSG failing to make it past the round of 16 in his time at the club.

For his part, he has been keen to stress that he is comfortable in Paris and hopes to do great things while at the club.
‘”It’s true that I feel very well,” he told the PSG YouTube channel. “The first year, I needed a little time to adapt to Paris for different reasons, but I started this season really differently, with a lot of desire.
“I feel more comfortable with the club, with the city, with everything that Paris means and the truth is that I am really enjoying this season. I think my whole life has been like that. About dedication, work, effort and wanting more every day. I’ve arrived at a new club and I want to win the title with Paris.”
