Leeds United have started the new Premier League season slowly and are yet to record their first victory. After a 5-1 humbling at Manchester United on the opening weekend of the campaign, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have picked up draws against Everton and Burnley.
With the summer transfer window set to slam shut on Tuesday at 11pm, Leeds chief Victor Orta will be furiously working with Bielsa for late reinforcements.
Bielsa worked his magic during Leeds’ first campaign back in the top-flight since 2004 and led the Yorkshire club to a ninth-placed finish.
The manager has clearly shown he can produce the goods and, if Leeds can bring in some more talented players, he will be confident of another successful season at Elland Road.
Express Sport takes a look at four transfers Leeds could complete on transfer deadline day.
A deal to take Daniel James to Elland Road appears to have gathered pace on Monday and talks are said to be ongoing between Leeds and Manchester United.
James started United’s victory over Wolves on Sunday but he is unlikely to command a starting place if he were to stay at Old Trafford.

Man Utd, who are set to welcome Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club this week, have an embarrassment of riches in their attacking department and James will be competing with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford for a starting berth.
Leeds tried to sign the 23-year-old on loan in 2019 and are understood to now be negotiating personal terms to take the winger to the club on a permanent basis.
Leeds have been linked with Uruguay international Nahitan Nandez this summer and they may well be keen to broker a last-minute deal.
Nandez has been a standout performer for Cagliari but is apparently keen to leave the Serie A side this summer.
The 25-year-old could partner England international Kalvin Phillips in the centre of the pitch for Leeds, while he is also able to play on the right.
Nandez has won 41 caps for his country and has also been courted by the likes of Tottenham and Napoli this summer.

Mikkel Damsgaard has piqued the interest of Leeds this summer after starring for Denmark on their run to the Euro 2020 semi-finals this summer.
The energetic 21-year-old is currently plying his trade with Sampdoria in Serie A.
Damsgaard usually plays as a left winger but can also operate in a more central role and would offer Bielsa flexibility due to his versatility.
The player is also apparently a target for Liverpool but Leeds could be in pole position for his signature if they can guarantee him a regular starting place.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s days at Liverpool look numbered, with West Ham being linked with the midfielder this summer.
The 28-year-old started Liverpool’s opening-day victory against Norwich City but hasn’t appeared since.
If everyone is fit, Oxlade-Chamberlain is unlikely to force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up and a move away from Anfield could be the best option for the player.
There is no doubt that Oxlade-Chamberlain is a talented player, and he would certainly add another dimension to Leeds’ tantalising attacking prowess if Bielsa were to chase a last-minute deal.
