Lautaro Martinez’s agent has given a comprehensive interview which illustrates the likelihood of the Argentine moving to either Tottenham or Arsenal this summer. Inter Milan are thought to be desperate to keep hold of their striker after losing Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea last week.
In letting Lukaku go, cash-strapped Inter have been forced to say goodbye to half of a truly formidable strike partnership.
Martinez managed 17 Serie A goals of his own last season as Inter powered to a league title, before topping it off with international glory at the Copa America.
Arsenal and Spurs are reportedly monitoring his situation, and both sides will certainly be eager to hear the player’s thoughts when it comes to a potential move.
Fortunately, or indeed unfortunately, Lautaro’s agent Alejandro Camano spoke to FCInterNews. He said: “Lautaro wants to stay at Inter.

“He believes in the Nerazzurri project and aims to win another Scudetto.
“I think we have to adapt to the new situation. A meeting with Inter is scheduled for Wednesday.
“We will do everything possible to stay in the Nerazzurri. Martinez is very well in Milan, he has an excellent relationship with his teammates and with the new coach.
“He wants to win the Scudetto again with Inter, play a good Champions League with the Nerazzurri and as I said at the moment he doesn’t think at all about leaving Italy.
“He believes – and we believe – that there is still life at Inter.”

A major plus point for the 23-year-old is the prospect of being Inter’s main man up top in Lukaku’s absence.
The Belgian stole the show last campaign, notching 24 league goals and scooping up the division’s Player of the Year award.
Martinez will now look towards Edin Dzeko as his new partner in crime, after the Bosnian joined from Roma at the weekend.
The stance of Martinez’s agent will come as a major blow to Arsenal, who had also tailed Tammy Abraham in their attempts to rejuvenate their frontline.
Spurs had also supposedly been in the hunt, with bids in the region of £50million reported as the club insisted he would be recruited as a partner for Harry Kane.
The England captain’s future remains a topic of hot debate, while his potential exit could call Spurs back into action with regard to their striker search.
Seemingly, the vacancy will not fall at the feet of Martinez, although fellow Serie A goal-machine Dusan Vlahovic could well be nearing a move to north London.
For both Arsenal and Spurs it is now onto plan B, for Martinez it is how to carry the burden of Lukaku’s absence on his shoulders as Inter seek to retain their Italian crown.
