Alexandre Lacazette left Arsenal fans confused with a rather cryptic Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang tweet on Sunday night.

The France international took to Twitter to write nothing but the handle of his Arsenal team-mate alongside two heart emojis – one coloured red and the other blue.

Immediately, Gunners supporters began responding to the tweet, with one asking: "What are you saying, Laca?" and another saying: "What the hell does this mean?"

A third even suggested some good news may be on the way – like Aubameyang signing a new contract to remain in north London.

"I'm getting excited all of a sudden," tweeted the fan. "Do you know something we don't?"
