Kylian Mbappe would prefer to join Liverpool over Chelsea this summer, according to reports. Mbappe is linked with a mega-money move away from Paris Saint-Germain, with his contact at the Parc des Princes set to expire at the end of next season.
Mbappe’s stock continues to rise after he helped PSG reach the semi-final of the Champions League on Tuesday, knocking out holders Bayern Munich.
The Frenchman has scored 33 goals in all competitions this season, the same amount as Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland.
Haaland is heavily linked with a summer exit as well, with the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona keen on the Norwegian.
Chelsea have an interest in both Haaland and Mbappe.

However, Ian McGarry of the Transfer Window podcast says a deal for Haaland is deemed too expensive by Chelsea chiefs.
McGarry’s podcast co-host Duncan Castles says if that is the case, then they cannot afford Mbappe either.
However, he says Mbappe would prefer to join Liverpool anyway if he were to move to the Premier League.
Castles said: “Kylian Mbappe I think we can rule out, if they’re worried about the Haaland cost of transfer, which I think is a justifiable thing to be worried about when Dortmund are signalling they want [up to] €180million [£156.4m], the asking price on salary is €30m [£26m] net plus those massive commissions.

“Mbappe is going to be in that area as well.
“There will be perhaps not as high a commission but there will be a substantial commission to Mbappe’s family, who look after his affairs.
“He will expect top salary in the Premier League, understandably, and the transfer fee should be less if it was done this summer than that €180m but it won’t be cheap.
“I don’t see Mbappe leaving this summer for less than €100m [£87m].
“More importantly, the player’s preference is for other clubs in England.
“His first choice would be Liverpool were they to become involved in that recruitment process. In Spain it’s Real Madrid.
“I think a lot of people are waiting to see what decision Madrid make and how the other pieces of a very busy market in strikers this summer fall into place to see whether he ends up going there.”
Mbappe has not hidden his admiration for Liverpool in the past.
Speaking last year, the 22-year-old heaped praise on the style of play implemented by Jurgen Klopp.
“What Liverpool do is amazing,” Mbappe said.
“They’re like a machine, they’ve found a rhythm and are like ‘we play again, we play again!’
“You think everything’s easy, but that’s not easy. The guys are focused, they play games every three days and they win, they win, they win.
“Performances like [theirs] don’t just happen. To be as ruthless would come from lots of hard work in training and having a very good manager.”
