Jamie O’Hara’s scathing attack on "embarrassing" Solskjaer after Man Utd exit

Jamie O'Hara has called Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's exit from Manchester United "embarrassing" as the Norwegian staged one final 'farewell' interview before leaving the club on Sunday.

The sacking was inevitable as United were thumped 4-1 by Watford on Saturday, but Solskjaer was given permission by the club to say one final goodbye as he bowed out from the managerial role.

It's rare that an interview like this is conducted, and usually managers endure a rather sour ending as they're sacked, but due to the fact that Solskjaer is a club legend, United took this opportunity to approach the situation in a different manner.

However, O'Hara lacked that sympathy and produced a scathing rant aimed towards Solskjaer and United.

The talkSport host said: "No one wants to see someone lose their job. He's a good a guy and you want to see people do well, he was out of his depth.

"But come on, what's that [the interview], what are they doing? I mean you don't see Chelsea doing this with Frank Lampard.

"Frank Lampard is a way bigger legend at the football club than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is at Manchester United. You don’t see Frank Lampard when he got the sack Chelsea giving him an interview and talking about him being a club legend, its embarrassing.

"Chelsea got rid of Frank Lampard, brought in [Thomas] Tuchel, won the Champions League, statement, we're moving on, thanks Frank, we're moving on.

"What is this? You've just sacked him [Solskjaer], he's not been good enough, Manchester United are miles off it, he's paid to do a job to get the best out of the team and he hasn’t done it."

The interview has received a mixed reaction online, but one thing that wasn't up for debate is that you could clearly see how much United means to Solskjaer, and the Norwegian left with no hard feelings towards his now former employers.
