Manchester United fans could not contain their excitement after witnessing Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford's link-up play during England's 1-0 win over Czech Republic on Tuesday evening.
With the game seemingly petering out late on in the contest, Rashford and Sancho recaptured the attention of many supporters with an effective piece of build-up play that so nearly resulted in a second goal for Gareth Southgate's side.
The move started with United defender Luke Shaw driving forward and playing a pass to Rashford, who cut inside to a central area and fed the ball into the path of Sancho.
The Borussia Dortmund man had only just entered the field of play bench but immediately drew in two Czech players before releasing Rashford, who had made an intelligent run towards the penalty area.
Rashford's attempted pass to an England teammate inside the area was unsuccessful, though Jude Bellingham won the ball back and teed up Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson to score.
The Three Lions saw this finish ruled out, however, with Henderson stood in an offside position.
Despite this move not ending in a goal, United supporters certainly picked up on the three players involved in creating the opportunity and began to dream of seeing similar scenes at Old Trafford next season.

Reacting to Sancho and Rashford's exchange, one reddit user said: "It was so funny how Rashford went all the way over to the right so he could play with Sancho, so shameless haha."
Another fan added: "Love it. Everyone and his dog knows Sancho is already a United player, just a matter of time . No way this doesn't happen."
"That left side has United written all over it."
The Red Devils remain in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a potential transfer deal and United are understood to have already agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old.
