‘Insane’ Alisson produces wonder save that is ‘replica of Jerzy Dudek vs Milan’

Alisson's heroic save during Liverpool's Champions League clash against Real Madrid was compared to Jerzy Dudek's mind-boggling stop against AC Milan by fans.

The Brazil international raced across his goal in the 14th minute of the Bernabeu showdown and threw out his arms with Vinicius Jr looking a certainty to score.

Having got just enough the ball with his right bicep, the shot when flying up in the air with the Real Madrid man grinning in disbelief that he hadn't opened the scoring.

Liverpool fans were quick to make the comparison with Dudek's stop against Andriy Shevchenko in Istanbul, in which the Polish stopper thwarted a header from the Ukrainian and stopped his point-blank follow-up.

One fan said: "As if Alisson pulled of a replica of that Dudek save against Milan."

A second added: "In a black keeper shirt as well, Carlo (Ancelotti)'s seen it all before."

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Chris Sutton said: "It is an unbelievable save from Alisson. I thought for sure that Real Madrid would be a goal up."

With Liverpool going into the game trailing 5-2 from the first leg at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp's men needed a four-goal comeback to win in normal time.
