Ian Wright has Arsenal fans in stitches "fighting for his life" with hay fever

Arsenal legend Ian Wright was up to his usual tricks as he had fans in stitches while "fighting for his life" against hay fever.

Wrighty was struggling like a lot of other hay fever sufferers on Tuesday (April 19) as higher temperatures in the UK raised the pollen levels. He shared his suffering on social media with a funny selfie captioned: "Fighting for my life with this hayfever."

The former England striker held up a tissue as he screwed his face up, with another sneeze appearing to be on the way. His Twitter followers responded with hay fever remedies to help him out.

It's not the first time he's caught the attention of Gunners fans online in the past week. He posted a bizarre video of him singing in his car following their 1-0 defeat at Southampton at the weekend which had them laughing as well.

Wright was listening to the Simon & Garfunkel classic "Bridge over Troubled Water" in the short clip as he responded to the disappointing full-time score which dented his old side's hopes of a top-four finish.

“This gave me goosebumps,” replied one person. “You should audition for the x factor wrighty !!! You are a class act man,” added another.

"You’re making me choke up Wrighty…" joked a third. "Don't make me go crying bro," another Arsenal fan wrote.

An avid social media user, the 58-year-old has built up a following of two million on his Twitter account. Just like with his punditry, Wrighty speaks his mind on the platform, like when he defended fellow countryman Marcus Rashford earlier this season.
