Newcastle and Sheffield United both secured their place in the next round with wins over West Brom and Reading respectively.
Arsenal , the competition's most successful team, beat Portsmouth on Monday night to leave four spots left.
And Manchester City and Leicester booked their place in the last-eight this evening with 1-0 wins.
Tottenham and Norwich went to extra-time in north London.

When are the quarter finals?
The four last eight ties will be held on the weekend of 21 and 22 March.
That gives the eight teams just over a fortnight to prepare with Wembley just 90 minutes away.
Depending on who progressed the FA Cup ties could be a distraction from the Premier League with several teams chasing the top four.
