A grind
The BBC opted for the Sheffield Wednesday vs Manchester City match tonight and… well it’s been a serious drag.
The Championship side simply haven’t been able to get out all evening. City with 80+ percent possession and 19 shots to Wednesday’s 1.
Leicester ahead
Leicester have taken the lead against Birmingham with less than 10 minutes left on the clock. Ricardo Pereira has the goal that will surely see the Foxes enter the final eight. Only Spurs and Norwich currently heading for extra time and possibly penalties.
There’s been a goal…
And it’s gone to Norwich! The Canaries are level at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium thanks to Josip Drmic, who poked home after a spillage from goalkeeper Michel Vorm. Jose Mourinho looks less than impressed with a possible extra time and penalties on the horizon. 1-1.
Vorm is temporary…
The latest…
Goals are in short supply this evening folks. Very short supply indeed. Last night’s matches yielded 10 in three fixtures and tonight we’ve had just two. Tottenham are leading Norwich 1-0, while Sheffield Wednesday have done well to limit Manchester City to just one.
What happened last night?
Goals from Willian and Ross Barkley sent Chelsea into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at the expense of Liverpool, who suffered their third defeat in four games at Stamford Bridge.

A brace from Miguel Almiron helped Newcastle reach the last eight for the first time since 2006 as they survived a late scare to beat Championship leaders West Brom 3-2.
Billy Sharp was the hero for Sheffield United as the veteran striker grabbed an extra-time winner at Championship side Reading.
Evening…
Hello everyone and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the FA Cup quarter-final draw.
As things stand, we have FOUR confirmed participants in the final eight with Arsenal, Chelsea, Sheffield United and Newcastle all safely through.
Three fixtures are still being played this evening and Manchester United will take on Derby for the final spot tomorrow evening.
As things stand, Manchester City and Tottenham are leading Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich respectively, while Leicester and Birmingham are playing out a sinfully dull goalless draw. That might be decided in extra time.
Anyway, the draw is coming up in around 35 minutes. Standby for me dragging this out for as long as possible. Enjoy…
