Arsenal’s attempts at blocking Everton’s interest in Ainsley Maitland-Niles have so far proved to be more forceful and solid than their actual defence. The young Arsenal defender has been banished to individual training sessions, having posted on Instagram his desire to leave the club.
He wrote on the social media platform: “All I wanna do is go where I’m wanted and where I’m gonna play.”
Unfortunately, his message has struck a terrible chord within the Emirates, who have proceeded to not only make him train alone, but they have blocked any potential move to The Toffees.
With the deadline looming upon the club, Everton could be forced to consider alternative options.
Daily Express sport takes a look at three potential right-back options they could secure before the end of the window.

Japhet Tanganga’s impressive start to the season, and Nuno Espirito-Santo’s familiarity with Matt Doherty having managed him at Wolves, looks to have banished Serge Aurier to third choice right-back.
The Ivory Coast international could even find himself as low down as the fourth choice right-back, with Barcelona star Emerson Royal set to undergo a medical at Spurs ahead of a £25m move.
Everton’s window has so far consisted of smart, astute signings, and Aurier could fall perfectly into that bracket.
With less than a year on his contract, Spurs could allow the former Paris Saint-Germain star to leave on the cheap, to free up some space on their wage bill.
With 77 Premier League appearances under his belt, as well as 26 Champions League apps, he could be another efficient and impressive addition to the Toffees squad

Despite enjoying an impressive loan spell with AC Milan where he helped the Rossoneri qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2014.
However, he is still behind Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and United are reportedly set to snub Dalot again, as they are believed to be in the market for another right-back.
At 22-years-old, Dalot is as much of a transfer for the future, as well as the present.
He is well experienced, having competed in Serie A, the Premier League, the Portuguese Primeira Liga, and the Champions League.
With United looking to free up space on their wage bill, he too could also be allowed to leave for a modest price.
Benitez is a masterful coach when it comes to defenders, and he could potentially turn Dalot into one of the best defenders in the division.
While The Toffees have so far been cute and clever in the transfer window, they are yet to spend big on a player in this window.
The £1.8m they paid Bayer Leverkusen for Demarai Gray is so far the only time they have spent money on a transfer this season.
It is widely reported Trippier wants a move back to the Premier League.
Manchester United and Arsenal are also in the market for the Atletico Madrid star.
However, with Wan-Bisakka impressing for United, and Arsenal languishing in 20th position, Everton could be in a position to offer both assured first team football and a potential push for Europe.
Everton have started the season well with two wins and one point.
While it is still early in the season, they look like a team who can challenge for the European spots – Trippier’s signing would be a serious statement in their quest.
