Edu appears to mock Paul Scholes by smelling daughter’s feet and holding nose

Arsenal technical director Edu has appeared to mock Paul Scholes by smelling his daughter's feet and holding his nose in a video uploaded to her Instagram.

This comes after Scholes' 20-year-old daughter Alicia posted a video of the former Manchester United midfielder appearing to put her foot in his mouth and bite her toe nails.

The video, captioned "True love", was added to her Instagram story on Saturday and sent social media into meltdown as fans reacted to the bizarre footage.

Edu has now seemingly mocked Scholes in a similar clip posted by his daughter Maria on Monday night.

In the video, Edu and his wife Paula can be seen in bed with their daughter as the retired Brazilian midfielder begins to stroke the foot of Maria.

He can then be seen sniffing her foot before holding his nose and covering his face with his t-shirt as all three of them laugh.

Is the video of Paul Scholes the most bizarre social media post involving a footballer ever? Let us know in the comments section below.

Maria also captioned the 30 second long clip with a series of crying laughing emojis as she also added a filter to her dad to make him appear to wear illuminous glasses.

Edu's apparent mocking of Scholes comes after his former United teammate Rio Ferdinand also poked fun at the 11-time Premier League champion on Sunday.

Ferdinand posted a picture from his hospital bed to Twitter on Sunday in which his bare feet could be seen sticking out the end of his duvet.

One fan commented a picture of Scholes and wrote: "He will be there soon Rio, sit tight."

Ferdinand quickly quipped back by replying "Scholesy en route!"

Scholes had also been caught on camera by his daughter last month as she filmed him filling up a jerry can at a petrol station during September's nation-wide panic over fuel shortage fears.
